Welcome Home Weekends - Hiring Event & Family

Welcome!

We are glad you found us and want to learn more about the unique weekend our community plans for transitioning vets and their families. We organize a "Welcome Home" weekend in the Fall and also in the Spring.

Our next veteran hiring event and family weekend is currently being organized for Friday, October 19 through Saturday, October 20, 2018. Registration for this weekend is now closed!

At each of our "Welcome Home" Weekends, we offer the following for the first 50 veteran & family registrants:

Job interviews for vets & spouses matched to a wide variety of Hickory Metro companies and positions based upon your work experience(s), technical skills and future ambitions
Local hotel accommodations on Friday night, a $50 gas card, all local transport and all meals
A great selection of fun, local adventures for you or your family to enjoy
Meet & learn about some great non-profits, schools, networks and other local resources you might want to plug into from Day 1

Can't make October's event? We are happy to help veterans/spouses find employment within the region any time of the year through our 1-on-1 assistance. Click here to start that process.

OUR MISSION

To partner with Catawba County businesses to meet their talent requirements by leveraging the veteran community, and to provide opportunities for these veterans, their families and military transition organizations that are aligned to the Catawba County community.

OUR VISION

To be a well-known and preferred conduit between transitioning veterans, their families, and the Catawba County business community, and a transition assistance/employer resource organization of choice, with presence across major military installations in the Carolinas.
